Dr. Lalthakim Hmar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Assam University, Silchar, where she has worked since 2007 after teaching in a college for two years. She earned her M.A. in English from Gauhati University and her Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Tezpur University. Her academic publications include a authored book titled Expressive Behaviours of Hmar Women and three edited poetry anthologies.
