Prof. Julu Sen served as the Head of the Department of English Language Teaching at the English and Foreign Languages University in Hyderabad for twenty-eight years. She earned her Ph.D. in ELT from the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages and received a British Scholarship to study Applied Linguistics at the University of Essex. Her areas of specialization include Teacher Education, Distance Education, and Curriculum Studies, and she initiated the Sri-Lanka India English Language Training Centre. She passed away in Kolkata, and this book is her last edited volume published posthumously.
